About Me
Kacee was born and raised in Weber County, Utah. She has always had a deep connection to the land, spending her childhood building tree forts, catching field mice, and swimming in the rivers.
Kacee has been married to her high school sweetheart for 22 years and together they have raised 3 incredible young-adults. They enjoy all aspects of Utah's outdoor amenities: mountain biking, hiking, camping, ATVs, and gardening are family pastimes.
After many years spent raising her own young children, Kacee began her formal career in 2010 at a charter school as a mixed-grade teacher. She moved into curriculum and instructional coaching and administration where she found a passion for supporting adult learners and the growth of new programs.
In 2018 Kacee joined Ogden School District where she loves watching the natural learning process unfold in her students. She has mentored new teachers and presented at a number of state and national conferences sharing her enthusiasm for leadership, literacy and social/emotional learning. She is passionate about environmental stewardship and land management along with educational equity and reform.
Kacee earned a dual Bachelors in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Weber State University (2006) and a Masters in Montessori Education from St. Catherine University (2013). She has worked with children and families from many backgrounds utilizing local and national talent to build new programs in both non-profit and for-profit programs.
Kacee enjoys connecting like-minded individuals around a community's mission and vision. Identifying and growing talent, data collection, analysis and reporting are also strengths. Her leadership style is collaborative and solutions-oriented, extracting and building on each participants interests and abilities, to build a culture of awe for life-long learning.
